Domestic Consideraions: This is a national Army Reserve appointment, the Regiment currently has rank-ranged OF2-3 JPANs spanning across the ARRC, 1UKXX, 3UKXX, 1MN FAB, the DEG, 7X, 16X, 12X, 1DRSX, GLOs, HQ GUARDIAN, MDOG and 11X. These JPANs are to be filled with OF2 in preference to OF3; the latter should not apply. The minimum required annual commitment is 19 RSDs, but experience has shown that 30 days are required to be effective in the role. The incumbent must be prepared attend monthly team updates (virtual) and to attend training events in UK and overseas. Continuity is key to developing a relationship with their chosen formation, and this post is not suitable for an officer who can only spend one year in post. The successful applicant must deploy on exercise with their chosen formation and bpt support other formations as required. The applicant will be assigned to a team based on their geographic location/preferences, availability, KSEB and in support of the Regiment’s priorities.Responsibilities:1. Provide staff support to various formations for operations and training.2. Build a relationship with Field Army Formations in order to provide continuity.5. In conjunction with the SO1 of the assigned Formation HQ Team, ensure you are adequately trained and fit for role.6. Be prepared to assist with UK and overseas operations and training as required.7. Assist with the development and delivery of unit training as required.8. Provide ad hoc assistance to the wider Army as required on areas such as employer engagement, MS boards, staff support and training.9. Deploy on operations and training in support of various formations
Domestic Considerations: 180 RSDs per year. Army/Regular Reserve post, some travel and overnight duty may be required.Position Role: APC CM Ops Desk Officer responsible for the application process to move ARes personnel on to the ARRG and into a valid JPAN, their administration and future assignment as well as their removal and termination.Responsibilities:1. Mange the ARes ARRG application and assignment processes - RLFR, Chapter 10.2. Maintain regular contact with ARes personnel held against the ARRG and complete an annual audit; status and availability.3. Notify and engage with APC CM to ensure that they are aware of Snr Capts and above held against the ARRG; running to appointment and promotion boards etc.4. Where necessary assign ARes from the ARRG into a new JPAN or future assignment.5. Terminate ARes from the ARRG 3 and 4 on request, reaching the NRA or having completed their tenure of appoint against the ARRG assignment.6. Move ARes personnel from ARRG 1 Training where they fail to meet their obligatory training commitment.7. Manage all Business Cases for employment of ARes personnel against ARRG 1 Projects. When authorised assign ARes personnel into the ARRG 1 JPAN. On completion of the task assign ARes personnel back to ARRG 3 or to a future assignment.8. Complete Pay calculations for Reserve Forces personnel being offered an FTRS commitment.9. Trawl against and sign-post job opportunities for ARes personnel held against the ARRG.10. Provide staff support to the wider directorate as required.

The successful applicants will join a small team within the All-Arms Staff Pool, headed up by an SO1/Team Leader who will ensure that they are supported to deploy as an IA or part of a small team.
