Vacancy detail

  • HQ RC’s lead SO2 for planning all national engagement of minority communities pursuant to the HQ RC CE Campaign Plan.
  1. Conduct intelligence led planning to identify, develop and deliver initiatives across the UK which connect the Army to UK communities, and support inflow.
  2. Provide guidance, support and direction to RPoC engagers on delivery of engagement events.
  3. Maintain situational awareness of National and Regional minority community activities including MOD and internal Army activity from ARITC and Army HQ.
  4. Represent the Army at military and civilian events, and HQ RC at Army D&I community meetings (including Defence Networks).
  5. Monitor UK CE activity through UCE database and Defence Connect, to analysis CE effect

 Other tasks as directed by SO1 Engt-Communities and SO1 Engt Plans. 

Experience in / understanding of the planning process (cbt estimate) and Integrated Action critical

Previous Engt or Comms experience a distinct advantage.

High Calibre individual wishing to develop and stretch abilities in a 2* HQ

Previous HQ staff experience at Grade 2 (or 3) a distinct advantage.

Requires experience and broad understanding of the Army Firm Base, which will be enhanced in post

This is a specialist post which will conduct a targeted approach to deliver UK CE effect across the country. This high calibre individual will operate in direct support of Governmental direction to increase UK inflow into the Army.  As such they will routinely brief at 2 and 3* level.

The ideal candidate is one who will be able to understand and represent our Internal (Army) demographics to external audiences.   UK CE is ideal for innovative thinkers who seek a novel opportunity in a high profile and, at times, experimental field.  The right candidate will be encouraged to trial new ideas to engage with the UK minority communities’ segment of the Army’s MTAs (11-36 yo), as well as influence their gatekeepers and community leaders.  The individual must have a deep and authentic understanding of the planning function.
