The Modernising Terms of Service (MTOS) Team is a Defence People Team (DPT), which develops and delivers new, modern, Armed Forces Terms of Service (TOS) policies in line with the Defence People Strategy, which support Defence people transformation initiatives; enable the Armed Forces to manage its people more effectively; and offer Service Personnel more choice and flexibility.

SO1 Plans is the Centre TOS policy development lead for Reserve Personnel, an Armed Forces Pers specialist, who will be responsible for the provision of Subject Matter Expert advice.

Responsibilities: 

1.    Reserve lead for Terms of Service (TOS) policy design, development and implementation within the MTOS project.

2.    Support the review of the Reserve Spectrum of Service to ensure TACOS meets Defence requirements.

3.    Lead for RF&C liaison to ensure collaborative working between departments across all TOS Lines of Development including digital services.

4.    Lead for Strategic Workforce Analysis and FinMilCap liaison in Head Office to support workforce agility initiatives.

5.    Lead for People Concept and Development liaison within Defence People.

6.    Deputise for MTOS Team Leader as required.

Must be an OF4 of any specialisation. OF3 applicants with a recommend for the next higher rank in their most recent OJAR will be considered.

OF5 applicants, if successful, will only be paid as and wear the rank of OF4.

Must be serving as a member of the Reserve Forces or have served with the Regular Forces.
