170 (Infra Sp) Engr Gp consists of 4x Hybrid and 1x Reserve Units that deliver deployable, operational infrastructure support across the whole of Defence and other Governmental Departments, overseas and in UK.
Reserve elements of this Engr Gp provide many unique infrastructure design and delivery capabilities including: Railway; Ports; Water; Power; Air; and Fuels, whilst supplementing Regular capabilities including support to Critical National Infrastructure; Materials; and standard construction projects.
With a diverse workforce requirement of 434x National Reserves, 71x Sponsored Reserves and 34x Gp E Regional Reserves spread across 5x Units, this appointment is the Reserve Admin Officer responsible for up to 539x personnel.
The AO leads the Reserve Support Team HR Dept and creates and issues Engr Group level policy across the 4x Hybrid and 1x Reserve Units.
Functions aligned to that of a 'Reserve RAO', key responsibilities include:
1. Principal Reserve G1 lead, providing guidance and Group direction on Reserve G1 Policy matters.
2. Lead and deliver effective personnel administration to the ARes personnel in order to support the maintenance of capable and motivated personnel.
3. Lead and deliver the Reserve elements of the G1 audit in collaboration with the Group RAO.
4. Ensure financial compliance of Reserve personnel, conducting audit on all financial elements.
5. Coordinate effective communication with a dispersed National, Sponsored and Regional reserve clients. Lead with the development and implementation of the Group SharePoint initiative.
