As a National Reservist, be part of the HQ element of a specialist Hydrid Engineer Group consisting of c.1000 Regular and Reserve personnel that delivers Infrastructure for Defence and other Government Departments. Unit roles include all aspects of design; construction supervision; commissioning; inspections; etc. of infrastructure in: construction; fuels; power; water; railway; ports.

As SO2 Reserves you will work closely with the Regular COS and provide G3/5/7 support. Your roles include:

Provide G5 planning support function for the Engr Gp, with particular focus on Reserve elements;

Provide technical training and professional development direction and policy for the Reserve elements of the Engr Gp;

Conduct general staff duties in support of HQ 170 (Infra Sp) Engr Gp, which may include assisting with the preparation and checking of, technical infrastructure reports.

The successful candidate will be expected to attend 44x RSDs per year.

Opportunities for additional RSDs are likely

BEng or MEng degree in either Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or similar discipline, or similar KSE gained from experience perhaps combined with HNC/HND.




CEng status.

Currently employed, or relevant experience in civilian industry.

Practical Project Management experience. Some experience and appreciation of commercial aspects of engineering.
