Undertake ODP duties in support of the Unit, Bde and higher formations on training and operations as directed by OIC CMAT. 
Assist and support the delivery of pre-deployment and other specialist training to the Unit and higher formations through the provision of expertise in ODP. 
Support and participate in medical staff officer / watchkeeper training to Unit personnel, Bde and higher formations as directed by OIC CMAT.
Lead, direct and manage those subordinate personnel assigned to the post holder ensuring appropriate annual reporting and career management.
Remain professionally current within the post holder’s assigned role, undertaking as necessary those specialist courses deemed necessary in order to ensure clinical /operational effectiveness.
Provide advice to OIC CMAT on ODP training to support medical treatment on operations.

ALDP MT equivalent to rank.                                                                                                                

Lvl 3+ qualification Coach/Mentor - Qualification and credibility in coaching and mentoring is essential in this role.

HCPC registration - At least 1 year in clinical practice since qualifying.                                                                

ODP trained - Diploma or Degree.

As part of the CMAG team focussed on deployed hospital care, the incumbent must have a thorough working knowledge of the delivery of diagnostic radiography in that setting in order to support preparation for world class medical care on operations.     

In date for ODP operational training.        

Experience with operational radiography equipment.

Experience with other nations’ radiography equipment.   

Unit Appointment Board to be held on 28 Feb 2023.

This post is with a Nationally Recruited Unit and therefore whilst the HQ is in York, unit training activity takes place at various locations.  Minimum training requirement is 19 RSDs per Training Year although additional RSDs are available for Specified Tasks related to the post where required (further RSDs dependant on unit requirements).
