Unit Function    To implement the recommendations made in the CDI HLB SAR 21 report relating to DI Ldn

Position Role    To support DI Security HD in the development and delivery of effective security management across DI Ldn, ensuring there are policies and processes in place across DI to create awareness on security issues and manage them effectively. 

Responsibilities

Prepare and implement a rolling programme of Protective Security Inspections (PSI) across the wider CDI HLB. To run from 2022/3. To undertake post PSI visits to ensure recommendations have been implemented.

To undertake Protective Security Advisory Visits across the wider CDI HLB as and when requested by business units/establishments.

Oversee and maintain the CDI HLB ESyO network.

To compile security reports as part of CDI HLB submission to UKStratCom PSyA covering: performance, SRM, compliance and assurance activities.

Act on the results of any external inspections/audits/enforcements of the wider CDI HLB and ensure that the recommendations arising from these have been actioned. 
    
To deputise on behalf of DI Security HD as and when required.     

Must be an OR9 of any specialisation. OR8 applicants with a recommend for the next higher rank in their most recent OJAR will be considered.

Must be serving as a member of the Reserve Forces or have served with the Regular Forces.

Local Considerations

Domestic
Deputise for DI Security HD during periods of absence. 
•    Reporting to the CDI Management Board at the BLB and HLB levels. 
•    To act as interlocuter between the HLB Sy focal points and the wider HLB as well as interfacing with HCOS PSyA.
Represent CDI on security issues as required, including regular attendance or representation at UKStratCom PSyA covering: DI performance in terms of security activities and risk management and details of DI governance and assurance arrangements and activities.
