This is superb opportunity to fill a SO2 role in a busy Joint and dynamic environment in Joint Warfare. This vacancy is for an OF3 to serve as SO2 DLIMS (Defence Learning Information Management System) at Northwood HQ on either ADC, VERR or VTOD Terms and Conditions of Service (TaCoS), with an immediate start, 90-180 RSDs available for 16 months, until end of Jul 24.

Precise working days and hours would be agreed between the individual and the CoC. The Command Gp’s normal battle rhythm is predominantly 0800-1800, so working within those hours is preferable. Working from home is possible with a minimum physical attendance at Northwood of one day per month.

Responsibilities 

1. Review archived and real data/metadata across DLIMS, OFFICIAL/SECRET, to ensure that it is valid and recorded in an appropriate manner to maximise information exploitation. 

 

2. Support development of Defence lessons data standard and it’s publication through JSP 441 in concert with Head Office Defence Transformation Team. 

 

3. Support development of Defence lessons digital standard and it’s publication through DE&S standards in concert with the sS, Defence Digital, NATO partners and OGDs.  

 

4. Ensure that all metadata is correctly labelled in a consistent manner in order to maximise information Exploitation, in accordance with the defence lexicon and NATO Standards.

 

5. Ensure all references linked to data are correct/valid. 

 

6. Develop a training package and handbook to support DLIMS use across Defence. 

 

Must be an OF3 of any specialisation. OF2 applicants with a recommend for the next higher rank in their most recent OJAR will be considered, depending on TACOS.

Must be serving as a member of the Reserve Forces or have served with the Regular Forces.
