Unified Career Management (UCM) is a unit within UK StratCom established with the aim of creating an improved, tailored, central career management service for Defence Cyber Cadre personnel, enabling Defence's specialised cyber outputs & capability to be met more effectively and efficiently. 

UCM WFP provides analysis, planning and direction to ensure that the workforce supply meets Defence workforce demand. Enables structural workforce plans to exploit integrated structures where necessary based on career pathways and sS input.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain the UCM Workforce Plans Dashboard.
  • Ensure all JPANs are current and take remedial action if required.
  • Act as a UCM SME for WFP guidance and process matters, including policy development, ensuring compliance and coherence.
  • Assist in production of the Demand Plan.
  • Assist with production of WFP OSW and supporting documentation.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement measures to enhance WFP processes, advising on best practice and governance.
  • Training and Mentoring of new team members within UCM WFP, providing insight into UCM and sS nuances and ways of working.
  • Produce timely updates to the CoC and react to short notice requests.

In accordance with the Flexible Working (FW) Policy, Reserves personnel are able to request FW arrangements with their line manager.  Any immediate FW requirements should be agreed with the line management at the interview stage.

Must be an OR7 of ANY any specialisation. OR6 applicants with a recommend for the next higher rank in their most recent OJAR will be considered.

OR8 applicants, if successful, will only be paid as and wear the rank of OR7.

Must be serving as a member of the Reserve Forces or have served with the Regular Forces.

Previous CM experience, preferably in the Workforce Plans.

Work within a Joint HQ environment would be advantageous.

LOCATION: Northwood HQ or Kentigern House, Glasgow (primarily remote working – In office 1-2 days/week.)
