Vacancy detail

Subject to formal establishment, a vacancy will arise for an OF4 to serve as SO1 Concepts 13 DEF RES at DCDC, Shrivenham on up to 90 days on RSD's or VERR Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS). Start Date 1 Dec 22 or ASAP after this date.

Unit & Position Role

Unit Function

Development and delivery of horizon scanning, strategic analysis, joint concepts and doctrine in support of defence policy and strategy makers. 

Position Role

Defence Reservist KSE. DCDC Concepts are planning to develop a Future Reserves concept that considers how the Defence Reserve might be optimised to deliver the Protect function of the Protect function of the Integrated Operating Concept (IOpC).

Responsibilities

1.      Based upon a requirement articulated by ACDS Commitments and ACDS Reserves, this concept would seek to determine how and where Defence could maximise the utility of Reservists across the IOpC’s Integrated Operating Framework.

2.      It would consider both generalist and specialist functionality, such as cyber, intelligence, logistics and technological proficiency; and their relation to both the threats and opportunities posed emerging and disruptive technologies.

3.      It would build on the Future Reserves strategy and Reserve Forces 2030, drawing upon extensive Whole Force S&T work already conducted for CDP.
