Subject to Joint Boarding process and sS Policies a vacancy will arise for a OF3 to serve as MS HR Business Partner at MoD Corsham on FTRS(HC) Terms and Conditions of Service (TaCoS), with an initial proposed start date of ) 1 Sep 26, or earlier if achievable.
This is a superb opportunity to work within the NAD Mil HR JSST team partnering Defence Digital, the Mil HR BP will lead on the Military Workforce Management and some Military Secretariat activities for the Regular Military employees from all 3 Services and will strive to improve the military staff employee experience and ensuring it’s a very good place for all military personnel to serve.

Accountability:
MS HR BP is accountable to Grade 7 HR Strat and Plans, but this is subject to change under the NAD Initial Work Alignment. NAD JSSU CO is the Second Reporting Officer.
Must be an OF3 of any specialisation. OF2 applicants with a positive recommendation in their most recent annual OJAR may be considered for the role and the award of Acting Higher Rank (AHR). It is stressed that whilst a single positive recommendation will make you eligible for consideration, your entire OJAR/SJAR dossier may be considered for AHR and approval is not guaranteed.
OF4 applicants, if successful, will only be paid as and wear the rank of OF3.
Must be serving as a member of the Reserve Forces or have served with the Regular Forces.
ICSC(L) / ICSC(M) / ICSC(A) or Res equivalent.

Employer Comments
The successful applicant should expect to contribute to Reports and Returns for Military insights on Military Workforce data or forecasting. Utilise and exploit JPA MI, working with the People Analytics team, and be the product owner or key stakeholder for any MI products (such as Power BI or Power Apps) with Military workforce data, ensuring data is accurate and understood.
Additional information:
Hybrid working available. 1 day a week in MOD Corsham minimum, with MOD Abbey Wood available as an alternative location but with regular visits to MOD Corsham.
Regular Service Applicants. Personnel currently serving in the Regular Services should be mindful of the current Early Termination Minimum Waiting Time (MWT) for their respective Rank, Profession and ensure this MWT is compatible with the post sponsor’s proposed start date, prior to applying.
Admin Discharge. Subject to sS policies, applicants may be rejected.
Pension Issues. Personnel who qualify for a service pension should take financial advice from Defence Business Services (DBS) Pensions Department on the effect that undertaking reserve service has on their pension (details can be found on the JPA splash screen). Transition between TaCoS. Personnel taking this appointment from other TaCoS should consider the impact on any accrued entitlements, such as leave, resettlement etc and should seek specialist guidance where required as certain entitlements are TaCoS specific and may not be retained or transferred on transition between TaCoS.
Flexible Working Arrangements. In accordance with the Flexible Working (FW) Policy, Reserve personnel can request FW arrangements with their line manager. Any immediate FW requirements should be agreed with the line management at the interview stage.
Annual Training / Fitness / Medical / Dental. Subject to sS policies
Annual Salary and Leave. Pay will be in accordance with the pay scales published and sS Regulations . Leave entitlement is detailed in JSP 760.
Accommodation. Personnel serving on FTRS TaCoS are eligible to occupy Single Living Accommodation (SLA) if available, at entitled rates subject to sS policies.
