Unit Role: Telling the Army’s stories and enhancing its reputation
Position Role:  SO2 Plans is the lead for prioritising activity and tasking Army Comms assets. This is a generalist role supporting a specialist department.  An officer in this role will interact with all parts of the Army and is expected to demonstrate effective staff skills in Analysis, Communication and Organisation.
Responsibilities: 1.  Prioritise and track requests for technical support, photographers, and other media assets in accordance with Army Strategic priorities. Coordinate with both the client and delivery assets to ensure successful completion of the task.
2. Coordinate multiple tasks across the span of Army activity, linking Army Comms specialists with stakeholders across the Army.
3.  Support International, Communications and Engagement (IC&E) Planners in the production of IC&E Directives and Campaign Plans.  
4.  Implement communication strategies as directed by IC&E Staff and the Directorate of Defence Communications (DDC).
5.  In support of SO1 Comms Plans, lead Army Comms communications planning in the delivery of communications activity.
6.  Support the production of the Army Comms Annual Directive.
7.  Advise the Army Comms Comd Group on emerging media opportunities and the delivery of internal projects.
8.  Disseminate communications plans to Campaign Managers, Internal Communications Specialists and Regional Comms Officers for implementation.

This FTRS role is key to the management of taskings inside Army Comms. Routinely Andover based, but with scope for some flexible working, this post is absolutely a generalist post. Key is the reliability and thoroughness of the incumbent in chasing the detail for activity, these activities are often very high level engagement so must be thoroughly planned.

Salary Range £47-56K
