Primary Role

To support the recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration for each rank assigned to Ajax Troop, coordinate and manage their Recovery Pathway and extend a fundamental duty of care to each individual.

Principle Tasks

1    To generate, coordinate and update an Individual Recovery Plan (IRP) for all ARs of Ajax Troop a directed by the Tp Commander.
2    To conduct a Joining Interview (JI) and initiate Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings within acceptable timeframes (ordinarily a JI within 4 weeks, 2 MDTs within the first 12 months and annually / as required thereafter).  Home visits must be conducted where necessary and in accordance with mandated timelines. 
3    To input and maintain AR information onto WISMIS in a timely manner. 
4    To initiate weekly contact with each AR under their care within Ajax Troop, utlisining all available means; voice primary, email secondary and text tertiary, and submit a weekly return to the OC.
5    To fulfil reporting responsibilities, routine or specialist, for each AR of Ajax Troop assigned under their charge.
6    To maintain discipline, standards and military ethos within Ajax Troop.
7    If requested by the AR; attend the RN Medical Board of Survey in a supporting capacity and when necessary advise the RN Medical Employability Board.
8    Conduct any task as directed by OC RNRC Hasler.

Secondary Tasks

1    Fulfil the responsibilities of a Duty SNCO as required by the Unit Sgt Maj.
2    Support the Ops Officer or Sgt Maj in the delivery of organic activity.
3    Accompany ranks to appointments or other formal commitments if required to ensure attendance or in the interests of their health, well-being or safety; this may include travel abroad.
4    Support the Executive in any G1 function; to include disciplinary and/or administration matters and extending a duty of care to all ARs as required.

Must be an OR6 of RM ANY specialisation. OR4 applicants with a recommend for the next higher rank in their most recent SJAR will be considered. 

OR7 applicants, if successful, will only be paid as and normally wear the rank of OR6.

Must be serving as a member of the Reserve Forces or have served with the Regular Forces.

The following training should be completed as soon after assignment as possible and ideally within the first 6 months (course availability pending): 

a.    Defence Recovery Capability Employment Course (DRCEC)
b.    Active Listening Skills
c.    Mental Health First Aid
d.    First Aid
e.    Caldicott, Boundary and Supervision Awareness.
f.    L3 Coaching and Mentoring Training
g.    Diversity and Inclusion

Applicants will undergo an initial eligibility sift. Successful applicants will have their details forwarded to the Post Sponsor to arrange interviews. Unsuccessful applicants will be advised accordingly.

Following interviews; the successful applicant will be informed that they are the Preferred Candidate with details being sent to the CM RES FTRS Cell who will continue the recruitment process. Unsuccessful applicants will be advised accordingly.

Once the recruitment process is complete then the Preferred Candidate will be invited to take up FTRS.




INITIAL COMMITMENT LENGTH WILL BE 12 MONTHS WITH POTENTIAL TO EXTEND

The start date will be ASAP


Eligibility for FTRS/ADC

Any member of the Maritime Volunteer Reserves (RNR, RMR) or the Royal Fleet Reserves (RFR) (Ex-Regular Reserve) may volunteer to undertake a period of FTRS/ADC. Ex-Regular personnel whose RFR liability has run out may be re-instated to take up FTRS/ADC.

Applicants undertaking a period of FTRS/ADC must be suitably qualified by rate, specialisation, qualifications and experience to fill the posts for which they apply. Applications will be accepted from reservists who hold one rate or more above or one rate only below the advertised rate. Applicants one rate below may be employed in the acting higher rate (excluding the advertised rate of WO2 or WO1) if they are suitable, qualified and meet current promotion regulations in all respects. Applicants prepared to serve in a position at a lower rate then the rate worn will be appropriate to that of the position. Exceptions will not normally be considered.

Applicants must also be medically fit to fulfil the duties which their Commitment will require them to undertake. Personnel who have been discharged P8 Permanently Unsuitable Naval Service through the MBOS and Employability Board will not be considered.

Ex-Regular Reserves other ranks of an equivalent rank from sister services may apply, however will have to transfer to the RFR and conduct a period of Marinisation if they are selected as the preferred candidate.
