The Company Quartermaster Serjeant is responsible to his Company Commander for all stores, accommodation stores, bedding, utensils, rations, clothing and equipment issued to his Company. He will account for such stores, clothing and equipment issued to his Company. He will account for such stores in the manner and ledgers prescribed by the Quartermaster. 1. Supervision and management of the Company’s and advising account holder (OC) to ensure effective support to the Company. 2. They are to be present at all inspections of the Company lines and at all checks of stores and accommodation on charge, and will note all deficiencies and damages ascertaining, where possible, the names of those responsible. 3. The post holder is responsible for the indenting, collection of, issue to and eventual recovery from the personnel within their Company, of all necessary clothing and equipment. 4. The CQMS is responsible for the safe custody of the equipment of personnel within the Company. 5. They are to ensure that the laundry, dry cleaning and exchanges for the Company are carried out satisfactorily. 6. They are to ensure that managerial checks on sub unit accounts are conducted and recorded in accordance with current regulations and procedures. 7. They are to ensure that there is a clear paperwork audit trail for Logistic Support Inspections (LSI), Equipment Care Inspections (ECI) and Internal G4 inspections for all stores held on account. 8. Support the OC and Company 2IC in applying the Units Equipment Care Policy. 9. Support the Res CQMS in trg and RLS. 10. Support HQ Company’s adherence to the SHEF policy. Must be prepared to travel to Coy locations and work at weekends and in the evenings |
