Unit Role:  Reserve Light Cavalry Regiment.  To prepare suitably trained, equipped and motivated officers and soldiers for operations both overseas and in the UK in support of Regular units, as individuals and as contingents.

Position Role: Member of a Regtl Headquarters team responsible for preparing the unit for UK and resilience operations. Where possible, the UK Ops Officer will be the main POC for force generation of SNIY SP in response to MACA tasks.

Responsibilities:
1.    Monitor MOD current operations within the United Kingdom and overseas territories and upcoming MACA taskings likely to affect 19 Bde and SNIY. 
2.    Plan and communicate UK Operations opportunities to the Executive Officer on a regular basis.
3.    Monitor Fd Army requests for support to all major exercises via the operational chain of command.
4.    Occasional requirement to participate in exercise recces or planning activities.
5.    Regular attendance at external meetings (Bde HQ, SJC) either in person or by VTC.
6.    Preparation of written submissions to the Commanding Officer and Bde COS.
7.    Deputise for Regtl Ops Officer and aid with management of the Operational Commitments Plot/Field Army Activity Schedule.
