Domestic Considerations: Staff+ 50 RSDs (more on request), MODNET laptop provided to enable dispersed working.        
Position Role:  Staff officer for UAS capability and force development activity within Surv Gp
Responsibilities:
1.   Coordinate Surv Gp capability and force development activity including support to the bi-annual sUAS Capability User Board and collate cross-branch capability risks.
2.   Support to Surveillance capability management and force development; maintaining links with external stakeholders.
3.   Support to RA STA force development and business change management, with input into the UAS CUBs/ Steering Groups and CIWGs on behalf of SO1 Cap Opt.
4.   Provide SME input to Surv Gp planning activity, ABC screening, doctrine, policy, experimentation and trials. 
5.   Contribute to Field Army Force Optimisation lines of development.
6.   Support the professional development of FDev branch staff and undertake MS responsibilities as directed.
7.   Represent / deputise for SO1 Cap Opt, as required.
8.   BPT to be shadow secretary on the UAS CUB. 
ISTAR experience at regimental or formation level. 
Op experience in deployed ISTAR role highly advantageous. 
Previous employment as an SO3/2 within a deployable formation.
UAS experience desirable.

High profile, complex role which will require the individual to plan and prioritise multiple commitments to ensure effective and efficient capability development.  Will require an understanding of ISR/STA capabilities and planning to enable force development and formation planning.

Will be required to take a holistic approach to all aspects of capability development issues understanding competing priorities and resource constraints.

Must have the ability to produce logical, fluent and convincing written work.
