Vacancy detail

1. Focal point for RHQ on Army Reserve recruiting and engagement: monitor and develop REME Reserves marketing material; liaise with Reserve battalions and supporting orgs to improve REME recruiting and share best practice; guide and assist with Corps engagement, exploiting opportunities and coordinating activity or attending events when required.
2. Liaise with RC Cadets Branch and REME units to promote the provision of support to cadet organisations iaw the REME Cadet plan.
3. Liaise with ARITC to ensure candidates are processed through recruitment pipeline effectively; develop the Corps’ relationship with RG and the NRC (Reserves CSMs); advise on entry requirements and authorise ‘shading’ of ineligible candidates.
4. Support transferee processes, market opportunities and guide ex-regulars and re-joiners to the Army Reserves.
5. Give guidance and help to resolve CM policy issues for Reserve Officers and Soldiers, in liaison with Army Pers, Army Cap and APC. Draft Corps Instructions and submit amendments to Army Pers Pol.
6. Support career development of REME reservists. Advise and contribute to: SSE Officer selection; Artificer selection and training; Officer training, career development and LEAD FIRST employment; soldiers professional development and ALDP; REME Whole Life Development WG.
7. Collaborate with RHQ teams to help integrate the Reserves and develop the REME family. Deliver Reserves Pers/CM and insight briefings to visitors, REME Arms School courses and PSI courses.
8. Organise the annual REME Reserves conference.
9. Secretary for the quarterly REME Reserves management board.
10. Provide permanent staff support to RHQ part-time reservists, coordinating their administration and attendance.
11. Line manage and report on ASM REME Reserves.

Domestic considerations: Routine working week in Lyneham. Requires frequent evening commitment and occasional weekends, plus occasional UK travel to units/HQs/orgs and Reserves training events.

Salary Range £47-£56K
