Domestic Considrations: Evening and weekend work essential with at least 4 days per month.  Approx. 44 RSDs per year.
Position role: Media Ops Staff Officer, focal point for guidance and advice to Comd and subordinate units.  Principal Media Ops planner and focal point for all Bde and subordinate units’ media presence.
Responsibilities:
1.  Lead Media Ops staff officer, ensures Bde and subordinate unit media engagement is compliant with current MOD and Army policy.
2.  Media presence advice to the Bde Comd; lead for the Bde media plan.
3.  To provide Media Ops, PInfo planning and media training support to Bde HQ and subordinate units.
4.  To coordinate development of Media Ops and PInfo plans and direct/guide media personnel, including co-ordination of Bde photographer activity. 
5.  Arrange media facilities and briefings as required; conduct press escorts/media handling, co-ordinate and facilitate media output across all UK, and NATO channels.
6. Co-ordinate with Regional Press Officers, AM&C staff, and liaise with all appropriate UK and agencies.
7.  Be prepared to join or lead a Media News Team as directed.
8.  Any other Media Ops related tasks as directed by COS.
IT Literacy/competence
Experience of any Op Theatre an advantage.
Defence Communicator's Course.
Joint Information Operator's Course.
Any Staff experience - Desirable
