Intelligence Officer (IO) - 8 RIFLES

1. Provision of advice to Commanding Officer regarding operational decisions.
2. Provision and organisation of G2 support for all Battalion operational training.
3. Training, administration of, and provision of advice relating to the battalion's G2 assets and capabilities.
4. Support snr Maj and Adjt in YO development 
5. Assist Ops Sp officer with recruiting activities and to recruit soldiers into the Bn. Inline with the direction of the OC
6. To provide career advice and management to those soldiers within his command.
7. To maintain clear, accurate Dept records.
8. To undertake to develop the professional knowledge and obtain the relevent course qualifications required for promotion
9. To OIC on varied short and medium term projects as directed by XO and snr MajComd G2 UNDERSTAND function on exercise/ops
10. Real time G2 capability – liaising with 19X and 1XX G2 team iot provide briefs on real time deployments
11. Produce OSW for exercises
12. Lead on information management and support to information operations
13. Produce and maintain ongoing exercise(s) scenario using DATE
14. Control the PXR function
15. BPT become the Unit Comms Officer (UCO), liaising with 19X, 1XX and RHQ media teams and contributing to unit media plans and social media presence
