SO2 Trg Integration, D Progs (19296)

Position Role: To lead on the training DLoD integration of new army capabilities. SO2 Training Integration ensures that any training changes required are fielded in line with strategic timelines, dependencies, and operational readiness definitions through the development of the modernisation Capability Implementation Plan (CIP).

Responsibilities: 
1. Deliver training activity aligned through the CIP to enable new capabilities to be integrated into Fd Army.
2. Establish and lead a training integration tiger team to effectively plan in line with the CIP.
3. Coordinate with other DLoD integration SO2’s to ensure training capability is integrated in line with the CIP.
5. Represent CIP training interests at Capability Integration Working Groups (CIWGs) and fielding working groups.
6. Provide authoritative training advice and guidance to SO1 DLoD Integration maintaining a pan-programmes, holistic view to identify integration priorities, risks, opportunities and trade-offs.
7. Work with DLoD cohorts in the identification and integration of dependent capabilities to achieve coherent force outputs.
8. Work with SO1 DLoD Integration to contribute to the Balance of Investment (BoI) submissions where capability gaps are identified for projects in delivery.

P3M qualified/experience - Managing Successful Programmes or APM (can be completed in post)
Gd2 Staff experience - Wider understanding of Army structures and processes would be of benefit, ideally at the Operational or Strategic level.
ICSC(L) qualified
Cap & Acq career field experience
Formation HQ Staff experience - Sufficient understanding of activity and demand on units and Fd Army to manage business change. Wider understanding of capability management would be beneficial.

Other Comments: The right candidate should understand how the Fd Army trains and operates, understand training requirements for new capability and should be able to build relationships and trust across a military and civilian workforce, to ensure open information sharing and achieve coherent outcomes for the Army. 

The establishment of the NAD, Defence Reform and subsequent Army Reform may change this job spec once the post is filled. However, it has been established because Capability Integration is a function the Army perceives necessary in any Army Reform outcome.

Domestic Considerations:  This post is located in Army HQ in Andover. Some travel will be expected. Hybrid working with days working remotely will be possible and acceptable.
