Subject to formal establishment, Joint Boarding process and sS Policies, a vacancy will arise for a OF3 to serve as SO2 Integrated Warfare Centre Reserves at Northwood HQ on either ADC, PTVR, VTOD Terms and Conditions of Service (TaCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 1 Aug 26 to 31 Mar 28 with a possible further extension.
Up to 180 RSDs per year / total are available for the right candidate to conduct the role.
Unit Function:
The role of the Integrated Warfare Centre (IWC) is to optimise and adapt the current integrated force, through concepts and warfare development, to support UK and NATO joint commanders to achieve operational advantage over adversaries, across the continuum of competition.
Position Role:
The SO2 IWC Reserves position is pivotal to the successful recruitment and employment of the 35+ part-time Reserve personnel from across the single Services that form an integral part of the IWC workforce.
This is a superb opportunity for a motivated and people-focussed OF3 to deliver a highly rewarding role at the heart of a dynamic organisation. The IWC is positioned on the leading edge of Defence and employs a broad portfolio of Reservists across a range of positions to support its specialist outputs. SO2 IWC Reserves is the go-to focal point for all Reserves matters, both for generating new Reserve workforce, and also supporting and sustaining the established workforce.
SO2 IWC Reserves works across each of the OF5-led pillars that form the IWC; the successful candidate must be confident and capable of engaging across ranks from 2* to ORs to achieve success.
Responsibilities:
Must be an OF3 of any specialisation. OF2 applicants with a positive recommendation in their most recent annual OJAR/SJAR may be considered for the role depending on TaCoS and sS Policy.
OF4 applicants, if successful, will only be paid as and wear the rank of OF3
Must be serving as a member of the Reserve Forces or have served with the Regular Forces.

Way of Working: IWC is a Regular organisation, which routinely works Mon to Fri, (0800 to 1700) it is essential that the incumbent is able to be flexible throughout the working week. The exact working days will be planned with the 1RO / Line Manager. Hybrid / Working from Home may be authorised via the Line Manager, the incumbent must be able to travel and work at the Northwood HQ site.
T&S: Subject to agreed committed TaCoS.
Accommodation: Subject to; agreed committed TaCoS, availability of transit accommodation and if required to work in different MOD locations / overseas requirements / or exercise.
Employment on Part Time TaCoS (PTVR/ADC/VeRR/ARRG/VToD): The successful applicant will be subject to the TaCoS they will be employed on / authorised.

Transition between TaCoS: Personnel taking this appointment from other TaCoS should consider the impact on any accrued entitlements, such as leave, resettlement etc and should seek specialist guidance where required as certain entitlements are TaCoS specific and may not be retained or transferred on transition between TaCoS.
Annual Salary and Leave: Pay will be in accordance with the pay scales published in JSP 754. Leave entitlement, if applicable, is detailed in JSP 760.
