Vacancy detail

Subject to formal establishment, a vacancy will arise for a OF3 to serve as SO2B IEP at RN Div, JSCSC on ADC (110 Days) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 31 Aug 2023.

Unit Function

The UK Defence Academy delivers world-class education and training to leaders in order to develop the intellectual edge needed for success on operations and leadership in government.


Position Role    

Support the design, delivery and assurance of training and education within the RND, in accordance with JSP 822 and the Defence Academy MTES.

Responsibilities

 1. Conduct moderation of student assessments. 
 2. Conduct peer observations of staff.   
 3. Write and maintain the commander’s risk assessment.
 4. Maintain links with the Defence Academy J7 team and others.
 5. Develop and maintain DSAT documents.
 6. Produce, coordinate and assure content.
 7. Liaise with deliverers of RN PME (e.g. JOLC and NAC) to generate a coherent and continuous programme of educational development.  
 8. Be secretary to the Course Design Working Group (CDWG) and other meetings as required.  
 9.. Provide support to course accreditation.
10. Help to maintain the currency of RND DLE pages.
11. Deputise as necessary for SO2 RND N7, including support to the INVAL process.
12. Any other duties and tasks as reasonably directed by Director RND.

Must be an OF3 of any specialisation. ed with the Regular Forces.

Security Clearance Level - SC

It is essential that the post holder has:

•    Experience in the development and maintenance of educational programmes
•    A knowledge of the requirements of the DSAT process
•    Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel


 

It is desired that the post holder has:

•    Experience of course management on the DLE
•    A broad understanding of the Naval Service with particular focus on Officer training and education
