Vacancy detail

The Basic Training Adaptation Programme (BTAP) is an  initiative to transform and adapt Basic Training for the Army. It sits within ARITC and has seven main Lines of Effort, one being Infrastructure.
The Infrastructure LOE supports Infrastructure works across the Basic Training Regular and Reserve estates, however the consolidation of non-infantry Basic Training on the Pirbright site, enabled through the creation of the Soldier Academy is critical to the success of the Future Soldier capability, and the DEO ALXB project (Pirbright Infra) is the largest and highest priority Infrastructure work in the DEO portfolio.
This role coordinates the infrastructure requirements, full spectrum of activities and acts as the cross organisational interlocuter between ARITC, the Initial Training Group (ITG) at Pirbright, DB&I and DIO/DEO. The role also provides SME capability for other Infrastructure requirements within scope of BTAP (Reserve Training Estate and AEMP works at Catterick (ITC) and RMAS).
P3M (APM, MSP, Prince or other applicable SQEP).

Infrastructure / Construction Experience (G4 Infra / GE / PQO).

HQ Staff Experience in a 1* or higher HQ.
Experience of programme Governance and project planning aptitude in an Infra Pj environment.
Selection filtered to boarding
From JS:
To lead and provide SME advice on the Infrastructure requirements of BTAP, primarily supporting the ALXB build at Pirbright but also providing oversight and guidance to Reserve Trg Infrastructure initiatives and AEMP activities across the BT Estate.
1. ARITC focal point for transition of ALXB Project into Business as Usual including delivery to Full Operating Capability and realisation of benefits.
2. Prepare 1* to 3* briefs and represent ARITC at all ALXB meetings.
3. Continue to develop links and working relationships with AHQ, HC, B&I, DIO and RC to ensure the programme meets the strategic intent and remains on track.
4. Deliver direct support and business continuity to all key stakeholders focusing on delivery.
5. Provide advice, planning and organisational capacity to ARITC.
6. Support BTAP in the delivery of other infrastructure directed outputs.

The role is for up to 120 RSD’s per annum. These will be during the working week, with key meetings and boards that are essential. Hybrid working is fully supported for this role, however some meetings in Pirbright and Upavon will be important to attend in person

ARRG/VERR/ADC Project tasks are not WF authorised positions.   They are a temporary liability created specifically for a task and of a short duration; up to 12 months @ up to 90 RSDs, and therefore boarding and selection for these jobs does not attract substantive promotion or granting of AHR or SUPA.   A JPAN can be rank ranged to facilitate selection in a lower rank than advertised.    However, the intent is to fill the positions in the advertised rank and in only exceptional circumstances will a lower rank be selected to run to board.

For more information about how to apply for this opportunity, please visit the Army Reserve webpage.
