Domestic Considerations: FTRS HC. Army Reserve post.
Position Role:  PSAO A Coy 6 RIFLES responsible for the:
1.    Manage the Armourer’s workshops across all outstation locations.
2.    Provide technical advice on all maintenance, storage, inspection and servicing matters relating to the unit’s weapon systems and equipment. 
3.    Be responsible for provision of level 1, 2 and 3 Equipment Support to the unit; managing the serviceability of all weapons, MODAC equipment and supporting documentation.
4.    Act as the Unit LEE. Offer guidance and provide management of the LERKs; conducting inspections of all unit lifting and recovery equipment iaw UK Law and MOD policy.
5.    Act as the Unit Laser and Radiation Officer ensuring full compliance and conformance to both UK Law and MOD policy.  
6.    Implement a robust inspection program iaw ES policy (ESRS) including the recording of all work. Ensure that all equipment is appropriately inspected by an inspector with the correct competency and SQEP.  
7.    Hold and maintain the MJDI AinUs and account for the units Armourer ST&E. 
8.    Be responsible for the provision of unit technical spares in liaison with the UAA/1LO/FOWO as appropriate.. 
9.    Ensure the Weapons section of the EC Directive is up to date and ensure all technical instructions are regularly updated.  
10.    Undertake duties of CNO.
1.    REME Class 1 Armourer.
2.    James Equipment Manager. 
3.    LEE Qualified. 
4.    ALDP.
5.    CNO qualified.  
6.    Cat B. 
This post is ideally suited for a REME SNCO who has been employed within a Armourer role in a Regular unit and has deployed operationally.
