Vacancy detail

  1. 1.     Comd the CTT, reporting to the Bde Comd.  Deliver training to the Army’s cadet forces in line with the ACF Manual and JSP 313.  Assure the chain of command that cadet training conducted by both the CTT and cadet units within boundaries is safe.
  2. 2.     Line manager for all CTT staff including the TSAs.  Responsible for ensuring the CTT is fully manned, highlighting any manning deficiencies to the chain of command.
  3. 3.     Implement training policy and oversee all training support to the ACF and CCF (Army) including the coordination of training resources.  Oversee training of ACF and CCF in accordance with the Bde Comd’s direction to ensure that training is appropriate and safe.
  4. 4.     POC for Canadian exchange programme, national expeditions and MOD Courses (including CLC Nesscliffe and CLC Frimley) and Ex Sandhurst Cadet as required. Where required, responsible for hosting arrangements for the Maple Leaf (Canadians in UK) exchange programme as directed by HQ Support Command.
  5. 5.     To ensure all necessary staff and diplomatic clearances are obtained for overseas visits to / from the UK for ACF and CCF(A) units and that JSAFTAs are submitted in good time for authorisation.
  6. 6.     Write and coordinate the CTT annual programme.  Plan, organise and run:  CTT programme to support CCFs, local CTT courses to train ACF and CCF adult volunteers, local CTT courses to train cadets, Bde skill at arms meetings for the year, other Bde competitions; and (where applicable) Bde CCF central camp and Cadet Leadership Courses. In conjunction with Army HQ coordinate Bde ACF unit annual camp programme.
  7. 7.     Focal point for Army HQ on all Bde cadet training issues and the production of the Bde forecast of events in WESTMINSTER.
  8. 8.     Liaison with SASC regionally on all range and weapon training matters.
  9. 9.     Oversee security issues within the CTT, run CTT budget and write and update the CTT SOPs.
  10. 10.  Oversee and exercise managerial control of all G4 accounts held by the CTT.
  11. 11.  Responsible for the compilation of Army Section reports for CCF Biennial reviews. Conduct ACF Annual Detachment inspections as required.

Liaise with Head Teachers and ACF Commandants on training issues.
