The Directorate of Basing & Infrastructure (D B&I) is the Army’s intelligent customer for infrastructure, working with DIO, to enable the Army to live, work and train.
SO1 lead on planning for major works within the REOP Programme to deliver a new Reserve Infrastructure footprint. This will include integration with Army HQ and into the DIO, including ABC and Balance of Investment processes.
1. Lead staff officer on the Reserve Estate Optimising Programme (REOP) to develop the Programme roadmap with DIO including the ABC process.
2. Manage the Balance of Investment process for B&I and develop a 10-year investment programme.
3. Lead for REOP input into the wider Infra element of the Army Command Plan.
4. Coordinate strategic activity between FinMilCap(FMC), Infra Jt Committee (IJC), Army Resource Plans, RC, RFCA and D Res in relation to Infra programme and financial matters.
5. Lead within REOP for Performance and Risk Reporting.
6. Focal point of the interaction with DIO on future Reserve major Infra plans and programmes.
7. Deputise for AH REOP as required and line manage SO2 Plans (Res) REOP.
8. Maintain Stakeholder engagement between DIO, TLBs, Army HQ and RFCA.
Travel and up to 35 days separated service per year are a requirement of this post.
Army / Grade 1 staff experience
ACSC /  MSP (Can be completed in role), Policy and Finance experience useful.  Experience and understanding of the Reserve environment would be advantageous

A newly created post within a new OF5 led Team that has thus far delivered the first milestone report to SoS,  The next steps are to refine and then deliver the  task of  improving / rationilising and setting out a new strategy for the management of the RFCA Estate.  Suited to an OF4 who is looking to join a dynamic team with a clear mandate to get on and deliver what is needed.  Post is funded for 24 months subject to ABC 22 which should see additonal funding available for more years beyond initial scope.
