Position Role:  To provide Management of Information Systems and support to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line of Defence assurance for all aspects of the JPA management of SCs. 

Responsibilities

  1. Attain and maintain a good understanding of the SC process and its JPA application.
  2. Oversee compliance of Army SC Sec processes in line with statue to ensure complaints are recorded and managed correctly on JPA.
  3. Oversee assurance, primarily at 2* level, to ensure SC are compliant, recorded & managed correctly on JPA and are progressed expeditiously.
  4. Identify and report JPA change requirements and assist with JPA tri-Service change management and delivery as an Army SC SME.
  5. Write and amend bespoke SC OASIS reports, as requested, for the chain of command and the SCOAF. Publish on the OASIS discipline dashboard.
  6. Write and maintain Army JPA discipline guides and provide Army input to tri-Service JPA BPGs.
  7. Provide JPA training to SSA courses, the chain of command, 1*/2* discipline staffs and career courses in the correct SC processes.
  8. Support SO2 MIS and WO2 MIS & Analyst.

Must be Discipline trained, post JPA, and current.

Requires a strong working knowledge of JPA, the administration of Discipline, and be able to offer advice and direction to the chain of command when required.

Knowledge of OASIS dashboard and bespoke reports.

To be able to deliver training to units, the chain of command and SPS career courses.

Previous SA experience preferred.

Previous G1/J1 experience preferred.

Confidence to work within an HQ Staff environment and be able to plan, organise and manage priorities effectively.

Domestic Considerations:

Remote working is supported and enabled with appropriate IT, however the postholder should be able to work in the office for two to three days each week, depending on workflow.

 

Working as one of three data and process specialists, this is a fast-paced but rewarding post that requires accuracy and a mastery of the role. Tasks include supporting a wide range of Other Government Departments and Commands requiring detailed responses and statistical information.  The post holder should have an inherent curiosity and appetite for the research, interpretation, production and presentation of statistical data. Working knowledge of Excel would be useful. The successful applicant will enjoy working within a diverse, friendly and motivated mixed military and civil servant team focussed on the rewarding task of righting wrongs.  A sense of humour as ever is useful.
