Vacancy detail

Domestic Considerations: Building relationships across the Army HQ, Fd Army HQ and Formations will be key, hence some travel and work from the office will be required, but there is also scope to Work from Home.
Position Role: The HQ Field Army lead for assuring CFA that the Fd Army is operating in accordance with policy.  To date, this has largely been through the Audit & Inspection (A&I) regimes but increasingly taking a wider view of assurance and those areas not covered by A&I. Responsibilities:
1.    Manage and refine the annual A&I process for the Fd Army, in support of the Army Inspector and Regional Comd.
2.    Develop CFA’s risk tolerance and priorities, and represent them sensitively but robustly to the chain-of-command throughout the Field Army formations (1 Div, 3 Div, 6XX, JHC, 16 Bde).
3.    Develop A&I trend analysis through HQ Fd Army functional leads and Army Competent Authority and Inspectors.
4.    Engage the chain-of-command in the timely and agile delivery of corrective actions.
5.    Inform and influence the development of assurance policy and associated delivery frameworks.
6.    Develop wider assurance beyond the current A&I regimes, including deployed Land operations.
7.    The Fd Army lead for Security Risk Management through SO2 Security.
8.    Be prepared to support other Risk Branch and HQ Fd Army work as required.
Credible HR/G1 Pers/Audit & Inspection/Trg Management knowledge or experience an advantage
Previous 2* HQ Staff experience - Unit command (or second-in-command) will provide credibility and assurance experience from a User’s perspective - Previous assurance delivery experience is useful
FTRS Application through to boarding
We are looking for a generalist that is excited by the opportunity to improve how the Fd Army assures CFA; to increase effectiveness and reduce the burden.  As the arbiter of the assurance process for the Fd Army, some experience will be helpful but not essential.  Far more important is the ability to discern 3* issues, the initiative to lift the requisite rocks and the authority to influence policy.
