Squadron Second in Command

Successful applicants will undertake the full spectrum of roles and responsibilities as Sqn 2IC Reserve.:

·         Responsible for EC working with the Sqn FTRS SQMS. 

·         Assist the OC with Sqn MS including grading boards and the MS Matrix.

·         Assist the OC with the Trg programme and associated OSW.

·         Assistant SQMS with weekly checks and the EC program to ensure the Sqn complies with the UECD.

·         Assist the OC with Engage to recruit activity.

·         Assist OC/PSAO with the weekly functionality of the Sqn.

Opportunities exist for incumbents to undertake additional RSDs in year to support project work from CO/OC.

Applicants may also get the opportunity to further their qualifications and experience.

SHE&SD Qualifications or Military instructor qualifications such as RSO.

The Sqn 2IC role plays a vital Sqn role. The applicant should be able to commit to additional RSDs’ along with being flexible and personable in their approach to the AR.  The role is rewarding and would be suitable for an LE/DE OF2.
