Position Role: Lead Staff Offr for the delivery of RC national Employer Engagement (EE) activity, and co-ord of regional EE activity ISO Defence and Army EE Direction.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver the RC engagement plan in line with Defence and Army EE direction, and support wider RC Engt objectives.
  2. Deliver innovative and compelling national EE events to employers from priority industries and support MoD national EE campaigns.
  3. Develop and maintain the EE Common Operating Picture to enable targeted EE activity.
  4. Record and analyse EE activity and effect IOT continuously improve EE Engt delivery in support of the RC Engt plan.
  5. Build an effective network with EE stakeholders (inc RF&C, sS, DRM (ISO AFC and ERS), and JMCs).
  6. Represent Engt Br (with C&E) at MoD strategy and delivery groups IOT shape and influence Army contribution to tri-service EE effort.
  7. Coordinate, support and assure JMC EE activity including the reporting of REEB/REFB to Army HQ.
  8.  Support Army HQ and Fd Army in the delivery of EE and ES advice and training.

Previous Grade 3 staff experience preferred

Requires experience and broad understanding of the Army including the Army Reserve and Army Firm Base and future Reg/Res Army laydown

EE is Defence, Core mandated activity.  This is not a post requiring specialist knowledge, rather it requires generalist ability to conduct effects-based coordination, through a targeted approach, to deliver innovative and compelling engagement effect across the country.

This post would be ideal for an imaginative thinker, keen to develop an existing delivery capability, who has a mixture of understanding of civilian employment and Army Reserve service.  The incumbent will be encouraged to take risks and trial new ideas.

Duties may include other relevant duties as directed by SO1 Engt Plans and ACOS Engt & UK Ops Trg.

Able to attend HQ RC, Aldershot on a regular basis (hybrid-working an option) either by commuting or relocating. Some weekend work. Will involve some UK-wide travel. Up to 35 nights separated service per year are allocated to this post.
