Vacancy detail

Primary Purpose:

 To be the RNMBOS Office Manager ensuring staff adherence to the processes detailed in BR 1991 Ch 8, Unit Orders and wider MOD policy.

 Secondary Purposes:

 To provide a medical administrative centre of excellence for single-Service needs so that the requirements of the medical centres dealing with Royal Navy personnel, veterans, co-providers and veteran related organisations are met, within the limitations of cost and practicality.

TASKS:

The post holder is to carry out the following tasks:

a.    To adhere to the Caldicott Policy at all times IAW JSP 950 Part 1 Leaflet 1-2-15. 

b.    Manage the RNMBOS INM DMICP Admin list, allocating boards for new referrals, deferrals and cancellations.

c.    Receive, check and amend RNMBOS paperwork, tasking Units where required to complete corrections of the RNMBOS Forms as directed by the CPOMA, WO1(MA) and Board President. Make up packs, enter the personal details on the DMICP and RNMBOS Database. 

d.    The RNMBOS LMA is authorised to liaise with Sickbay (afloat), Medical facilities and Unit co-ordinators in order to fulfil their purposes.

e.    Assure that all board members receive a copy of all complete packs prior to the Board.

f.    Provide a Post Board debrief to all patients attending RNMBOS, including the issue of a RNMBOS results certificate. E-mail patients whose cases were dealt with in absentia on the day of their board to inform them of their result.

g.    Deal with telephone enquiries and help with general enquiries, ensuring
        correspondence and telephone conversations are logged in DMICP and notated 
        onto relevant medical board files.

h.    To turn-to by 0730 on boarding days and secure only once boarding has completed.

i.    During boarding periods, record patient’s JMES results accurately on DMICP.

j.    Deputise for the CPOMA in his/her absence.

k.    Assist other Divisions within INM as directed by the MES MAO or RNMBOS Manager.
     

ESTABLISHMENT DUTIES:

The post holder will carry out the following Establishment Duties:

a.    Undertake duties of the Unit Health Promotion Lead, attending termly executive Health Committee meetings at HMS Sultan and organise Health Promotion Board/events within INM.

Must be an OR4 of LOGS (WTR/SC) OR MA  specialisation. OR2 applicants with a recommend for the next higher rank in their most recent OJAR will be considered. 

OR6 applicants, if successful, will only be paid as and wear the rank of OR4.

Must be serving as a member of the Reserve Forces or have served with the Regular Forces.

Applicants will undergo an initial eligibility sift. Successful applicants will have their details forwarded to the Post Sponsor to arrange interviews. Unsuccessful applicants will be advised accordingly.

Following interviews; the successful applicant will be informed that they are the Preferred Candidate with details being sent to the CM RES FTRS Cell who will continue the recruitment process. Unsuccessful applicants will be advised accordingly.

Once the recruitment process is complete then the Preferred Candidate will be invited to take up FTRS.




INITIAL COMMITMENT LENGTH WILL BE 24 MONTHS WITH POTENTIAL TO EXTEND

The Anticipated Start date will be 1 Mar 22 or ASAP after this date

Eligibility for FTRS/ADC

Any member of the Maritime Volunteer Reserves (RNR, RMR) or the Royal Fleet Reserves (RFR) (Ex-Regular Reserve) may volunteer to undertake a period of FTRS/ADC. Ex-Regular personnel whose RFR liability has run out may be re-instated to take up FTRS/ADC.

Applicants undertaking a period of FTRS/ADC must be suitably qualified by rate, specialisation, qualifications and experience to fill the posts for which they apply. Applications will be accepted from reservists who hold one rate or more above or one rate only below the advertised rate. Applicants one rate below may be employed in the acting higher rate (excluding the advertised rate of WO2 or WO1) if they are suitable, qualified and meet current promotion regulations in all respects. Applicants prepared to serve in a position at a lower rate then the rate worn will be appropriate to that of the position. Exceptions will not normally be considered.

Applicants must also be medically fit to fulfil the duties which their Commitment will require them to undertake. Personnel who have been discharged P8 Permanently Unsuitable Naval Service through the MBOS and Employability Board will not be considered.

Ex-Regular Reserves other ranks of an equivalent rank from sister services may apply, however will have to transfer to the RFR and conduct a period of Marinisation if they are selected as the preferred candidate.
