Domestic Considerations: Up to 35 nights separated service per year are a requirement of this post. Flexible/hybrid working maybe available subject to the Commanders agreement, however, living locally is recommended. Must be prepared to be held at 6 hours notice to effect and support the JMC during UK Resilience Ops. Responsibilities:
Advise on the Armed Forces’ capabilities, constraints, and structures for responding to requests for military assistance are widely understood by Civil Authorities.
1. Advise on the Armed Forces’ capabilities, constraints, and structures for responding to requests for military assistance are widely understood by Civil Authorities.
2. Ensure that the UK Ops activities of all 3 Services are co-ordinated to provide the optimum level of support to the Civil Authority if requested.
3. The JRLO will exercise a co-ordinating role for UK Ops liaison, planning, and operations in partnership with fellow single-Service RLO.
4. During operations, and as determined by the Regional Comd, act as the lead tri-Service representative at the most appropriate location with the Civil Authorities.
5. Joint Regional Liaison Officers are held at 6hrs NTM in the planning and execution of Resilience Operations within the UK.
6. Identify opportunities for Armed Forces participation in civil emergency and other training events and conduct DCR Level 2 training for the RPoC AO.
7. Lead and co-ordinate the production of Contingency plans, SOIs and instructions for UK Ops.
8. Co-ordinate and LM the activities of the AJRLOs.
