Vacancy detail

1. Assist in organisation of RHQ RA events including RA Res Conference.
2. Deputise for SO2 Pers Res and conduct any other tasks as directed by Regt Col, Col Res, COS, SO1 Res Pol.
3. Provide staff support to RA Manning Brick, RA staff at APC and AH Res in Capability Dir CS.
4. As the senior WO1 within the Royal Artillery Reserve, conduct independent visits to units and sub-units to act as a conscience and mouthpiece for all Reserve soldiers.
5. Provide link between the Army Reserve Sergeant Major and RA Reserve unit RSMs.  Track issues of concern with the Army Reserve Sergeant Major.    
6. Support the execution of any RA Reserve unit tasks as required.  
7. Be an active member of the NAA and provide all that a Trustee is expected to deliver.
8. Work closely with other Corps Snr WO1s and Army Reserve Sergeant Major quarterly meetings.
9. Work closely and liaise with the RASM and advise them on any Reserve RA RHQ matters.
At least 10 years Reserve Service. High level of knowledge/ experience of MS Office applications required, in particular MS Excel.
RSM and/or BSM preffered. Ability to brief at 1* level. Pers experience, required to staff Res Pers Pol papers.
Army Appointment Board

It is recommended that the incumbent must have a good understanding of all the RA Reserve units, including the HAC.  44 RSDs are available; with mutual consent and authority there may be potential to increase this up to 88RSDs, although this cannot be guaranteed. Willing to commit to 3 - 5 days per month during the working week typically at Larkhill throughout the year, and at unit visits in the UK and possibly overseas during the week or weekends as required.
