Vacancy detail

Task requirements

1. Second In Command To act as the Principal Staff Officer for the CO and be the focal point for staffing issues.
2. Act as LRF(S) focal point for G3/5 activity.
3. Lead Staff Officer for formation engagement.
4. Lead on resource and budget management.
5. Manage a comprehensive Unit Assurance regime, inclusive of G1-G9 staff functions.
6. Perform the duties of Unit Security Officer, Equipment Care Manager and lead with Risk Management.
7. Focal point for FTRS management.
8. Deputise for CO as required.

Essential competencies

Understanding of Armr / AI requirements.
Experience as a Bn 2IC advantageous.

Desirable competencies

While LRF(S) is a logistic organisation the 2IC must have combat arm experience / credibility to exert their will on training units.
Credibility with LRF(S) training audience.
Understanding of logistic support processes especially fleet management and ES.

Additional information

As an enabling function of the NFS construct, Land Readiness Fleet (Sennelager) will COORDINATE the compliance for MAINTENANCE of Fd Army equipment to ENABLE the development of force elements in preparation for Operations across Europe. Domestic Considerations: No Secondary school.
