Vacancy detail

Domestic Considerations: Army Reserve post, travel and overnight duty will be required mainly in the week. There will be a requirement to work evenings and weekends as required/tasked. Minimum requirement of 44 Reserve Service Days (RSDs), preferred 120 (subject to management policy), opportunity to work up to 207 subject to individual availability and budgetary authority.  Predominantly working from Home or a Regional centre with the ability to travel throughout the UK to visit AR units, sub-units and Det locns, to attend conferences, training, unit recruiting activities or assisting other Regional ARRATs.

Position Role:  Unit Role:  To deliver an integrated Army Reserve focused Recruiting Assurance regime by undertaking assurance and advisory visits to units throughout the UK iot assist those AR units to comply with the policies and standards as set for the recruitment of Army Reservists and help them achieve inflow targets as set by DM(A).

Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning, conducting and co-ordinating AR recruiting assurance activity and advisory visits.
• Undertake assurance visits at unit, sub-unit and Detachment locations throughout the UK.
• Compile timely and accurate AR unit assurance visit reports.
• Act as ARITC assurance representatives and AR recruiting SME, engaging with unit recruiting staff and monitoring DRS activity to optimise success through the recruiting pipeline (post attestation to start of basic training).
• Deliver targeted training for AR unit staff in conjunction with the ASR.
• Assist in maintaining the Regional Recruiting Assurance Risks & Issues Register for Army Competent Advisor & Inspectorate (ACA&I), identifying and informing the chain of command of issues.
• Attend ARRAT workshops, seminars, meetings & external activities.
• Undertake additional reserve recruiting assurance, engagement and training assignments as tasked.
• The post holder will undertake additional assignments within the UK as and when tasked.
 Essential Experience:  
• Mandatory - Service in the Territorial Army / Army Reserve as
a Reservist or Permanent Staff.
• IT Literate, use of MS Office.
• Planning Ability, regular use of analysis and planning skills.
• Significant AR exposure & service.
 
Desirable competencies:  
•   Training, assurance & DSAT background useful. Familiarity   
with Assurance.
•   Broad background and experience with the ability to work 
with both civilian (Civil Servants & Contractors) and military staff (Regular & Reserve).
