Subject to formal establishment, Joint Boarding process and sS Policies a vacancy will arise for a OR8 to serve as Project Team Lead - Data & Analysis in the Integrated Global Defence Network (IGDN) on FTRS HC Terms and Conditions of Service (TaCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 01 Apr 26.
Unit Function:
IGDN commands, supports and assures the UK's Permanent Joint Operating Bases (PJOBs) to deliver and enable operations, protect sovereignty and develop global hubs as strategic capabilities.
Position Role:
Support Staff Member – Data & Analysis Coordinator
Responsibilities:
Support data collection and collation for footprint analysis, including personnel, infrastructure, and communications.
Assist in managing stakeholder interviews and surveys, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up.
Maintain databases and digital tools to enable secure and efficient analysis.
Contribute to drafting internal communications and briefing materials.
Help prepare visualisations and summaries for internal reviews and stakeholder engagement.
Support the drafting of the final report, ensuring operational insights are clearly articulated.

Must be an OR8 of any specialisation. OR7 applicants with a recommendation for the next higher rank in their most recent SJAR will be considered.
OR9 applicants, if successful, will only be paid as and wear the rank of OR8
Must be serving as a member of the Reserve Forces or have served with the Regular Forces.

Domestic Considerations:
Hybrid working encouraged with some travel to MOD Main Building and Northwood HQ required.

Defence Diplomacy and/or MOD experience, but staff/staffing competence is key.
These Terms of Reference set out the responsibilities and expectations for members of the IGDN Network Review team, tasked with delivering a comprehensive assessment of Defence’s overseas footprint in support of SDR 2025 objectives.
Other Information:
Experience and/or knowledge of MOD and PJHQ will benefit the incumbent of this post in understanding priorities, responsibilities, and implications.
Hybrid working encouraged in line with service policy, in either MOD MB or other CSOC location. 2 day per week in MOD MB mandatory, travel to Northwood HQ or other CSOC locations may be required as part of role.
Regular Service Applicants. Personnel currently serving in the Regular Services should be mindful of the current Early Termination Minimum Waiting Time (MWT) for their respective Rank, Profession and ensure this MWT is compatible with the post sponsor’s proposed start date, prior to applying.
Admin Discharge. Subject to sS policies, applicants may be rejected.
Pension Issues. Personnel who qualify for a service pension should take financial advice from Defence Business Services (DBS) Pensions Department on the effect that undertaking reserve service has on their pension (details can be found on the JPA splash screen). Transition between TaCoS. Personnel taking this appointment from other TaCoS should consider the impact on any accrued entitlements, such as leave, resettlement etc and should seek specialist guidance where required as certain entitlements are TaCoS specific and may not be retained or transferred on transition between TaCoS.
Flexible Working Arrangements. In accordance with the Flexible Working (FW) Policy, Reserve personnel can request FW arrangements with their line manager. Any immediate FW requirements should be agreed with the line management at the interview stage.
Annual Training / Fitness / Medical / Dental. Subject to sS policies
Annual Salary and Leave. Pay will be in accordance with the pay scales published sS Regulations JSP 754. Leave entitlement is detailed in JSP 760.
Accommodation. Personnel serving on FTRS TaCoS are eligible to occupy Single Living Accommodation (SLA) if available, at entitled rates, subject to sS policies.
Home to Duty Travel. Personnel living more than 9 miles from Main Building may be eligible for HTD travel as per JSP 752.
