Must have served as a JNCO or SNCO Instructor in a Ph1 or Ph2 unit.

DTc(A), ATM - can be completed in post

Appointment board held by APC.
This role is key in setting the standard for leadership and instruction for those entering Phase 1 or Phase 2 training, therefore the individual selected for this post needs to be a role model instructor to all ranks in training and mentoring. Personnel selected for this post should ideally have been in a top third place at a Ph1 or Ph2 Instructional post and recommended for promotion within the last 2-3 years. Not suitable for anyone in their last 2 years of service. Working in a high-profile environment, the person selected will require the mental dexterity to assimilate and pass on complex subject matter and the confidence and communication skills to teach senior officers up to Lt Col in rank. Already having the DTc(A) will be a significant help.
