90-180 RSDs. Joint Warfare (JW) require a media and communications specialist with drive, dedication and imagination to publicise and raise the profile of Joint Warfare and StratCom  activities and exercises. This, in order to promote awareness and integration across UK and ON Defence communities. Within JW, the post works in support of the Command Group/Senior Leadership Team. The incumbent will be required to engage with stakeholders across Defence, encompassing Head Office, UK Strategic Command, single-Services, and supporting agencies.
Responsibilties:

1. Planning and releasing a regular drum beat of information snapshots to specialist and generalist audiences, using the full array of media platforms.

2. Initially, the role will focus on 2 core areas of JW business. First, the Defence Experimentation Enterprise (DEE), whose purpose is to share awareness, identify/prioritise experimentation requirements, cohere federated activity and to develop a plan to enable delivery of designated core experiments that provides evidence to support Defence Force Development.   Secondly, INTEGRATED DEFENDER 24 (ID24) serves as the INTEGRATED FORCE 25 proof of concept. It comprises a series of related defence level and allied exercises that will take place between Q3/23 and Q3/24 as part of the UK Defence Exercise Programme.
Proven experience of planning and coordinating a communications strategy.

Good communication skills across media platforms: key to this is ability to use plain English and simplify military/technical jargon.

Sharepoint/Webpage development/management.

Background in information operations and/or marketing.

This role is flexible depending on the skills and experience of the individual. A minimum of 90 days is preferred. Although some work could be conducted from home, the role would involve being at Northwood for preferably a minimum of 2 days per week.
