Domestic Considerations, RSDs: The post offers a high attendance level and hybrid working days when appropriate, with the opportunity to work upwards of 48 days per year. Working pattern can involve week days and weekends during modular and consolidated courses. Army Reserve post, based in MERSEYSIDE with some travel and overnight duty required, with occasional travel to the Strensall site when required.
Position Role: The Platoon Commander leads, coaches, mentors, trains and manages their personnel and BT recruits in admin, welfare and Trg Delivery.
Responsibilities:
Suitable & Recommended on last SJAR for Phase 1 training.
Instructional|Defence Trainer (DTc)|Joint| (can be obtained within an agreed period of time once in post)
Gen|Dvr Lic Cat B|Joint| (Car Driving licence)
Course Qualified|RANGE MANAGEMENT STAGES 1-3|Army| or equivalent (AA|SA B 90|Army|)
SQ/MQ Misc|Map Reading Instructor|Army|
Experience of working in a Phase 1 training establishment.
Gen|Dvr Lic Cat D|Joint (Minibus licence)
Familiarisation Visit followed by Appointment Board.
OR7 selected for promotion are eligible to apply for this position.
ATU (North) trains the Army's next generation of Army Reserve soldiers. We deliver demanding, realistic but safe basic training that develops the character of our soldiers so that they can embark on their military career with confidence and a will to win. We teach the values and standards of the British Army using inspirational role models and ensure that our soldiers can do the basics brilliantly.

Further Information:
We are a satellite training location who offer reservist the ability to train locally in a modular fashion . The unit is small with approximately 70 personnel. With our HQ in Strensall and 2 training companies based in Strensall (York) and Hightown (Merseyside). We welcome and train reserve recruits from all over the UK.
This role will also give you the opportunity to undertake training courses that may not be available to you through your own unit, such as skill at arms, range qualifications, Map Reading and Drill instructor.
This is a reservist role that can offer up upwards of 48 days per year, working pattern can involve week days and weekends during modular and consolidated courses.
