SO2 G5 Engr

Position Role:  To provide Risk Manangement, DDH and ABC advice, planning and management support to HQ 1 (UK) Div and act as a conduit to engineering expertise and capabilities to assist 1(UK) Div and 8 Engr Bde acheive their missions.  Responsibilities include:  1) Actively support and champion the operation of effective risk management in the 1* formation.  2) Providing risk advice, support and guidance, where required, to the formation and Gp HQ's, including technical advice on the risk management process.  3) Ensure that the Bde risk management process is being effectively executed, that risks are being identified and managed to within acceptable levels, and that, as a byproduct, the risk management process is producing high quality risk information to inform decision making.  4) Be responsible for collating and submitting robust and timely risk management information to the 2* HQ.  5)  Advice the 1* Comd on DDH matters.  6)   Disseminate top-down risk communications to subortinate units.  7)  Raise awareness and articulate the benefits of risk management.  8) Preparation of the Bde QPRR,  Bde Risk meetings & Bde Executive Committee meetings.   9)  Assist the HQ's C2 SO2 G7 Res in the preparation of the Bde Annual Budget Cycle (ABC).

Operational experience

FTRS Application through to boarding

Familiarity with 2* HQ [1(UK) Div] HQ desirable. Understanding of the Def Risk Management, DDH and ABC process desirable. Broad experience of Mil Eng Fd Army desirable
