 The successful applicant will be required to drive forward the Diversity, Inclusion and Well Being agenda at the Defence Academy, Shrivenham as displayed below.

  1. Scope, plan and co-ordinate the delivery of a ‘Big Conversation’ event at the Defence Academy Shrivenham NLT Sep 22.This will include booking of VIP and keynote speakers, development of themes and scope of the event, development of business cases to secure funding, briefing senior officers in the lead up to the event and co-ordinating delivery on the day of the event.
  2. Research, develop and introduce a new Wellbeing and Diversity and Inclusion area on the Academy Net sharepoint to provide access to relevant resources around these themes.
  3. Develop and introduce a communications plan to highlight important wellbeing themes and key resources and articles to personnel at Shrivenham.
  4. This is to include the introduction of messages to the AcNet front page on a regular basis, as well as broader themes that would be pushed to personnel via the Comms Team, social media and other methods of communications. 
  5. Develop terms of reference, core attendance lists and plans for new working groups in the areas of diversity and inclusion and wellbeing, which will feed into a bi-annual meeting chaired by the 2* Comdt of the Defence Academy.
  6. Work with the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) lead at the Defence Academy to plan and resource an annual programme of MHFA awareness training sessions. These dates should be publicised via the resources sharepoint and through the communications plan.  In addition, review the number of trained facilitators and identify future training requirements for MHFA facilitators, securing funding via business case for further training as needed and making bookings as appropriate.

Must have conducted either the Diversity & Inclusion Practitioner or Advisors course. 

 

Experience in Project Management.

Employment within this role will be on Reserve Service Days under the selected candidates Single Service TaCoS.
