Vacancy detail

1. Project Sponsor, in the North Regional Team, with a primary focus on Defence Estates Optimisation (DEO) and Army Basing Programme (ABP) projects in Edinburgh and Leuchars.
2. As Project Sponsor you will be responsible for the end to end management of infra projects within the DEO Army and ABP change programmes.
3. As Project Sponsor be prepared to represent the Army requirements to DIO, contracted support and the Local Authorities and engage internally within Army HQ, Fd Army and the Regional Bde.
4. Drive assigned projects forward on behalf of but in consultation with AH Delivery and SO1 North B&I for the benefit of the end user units that will live, work and train in the sites.
5. Own the URD, be prepared to contribute to and lead on elements of other project documentation as part of the Integrated Project Team.
6. Be prepared to travel to the project sites and current unit locations, which may be outside Scotland, in order to understand the requirements of units and the sites into which they are going to be reprovisioned. This may require travel several days a week dependant on the project need.
7. Be prepared to organise and lead visits from B&I up to 2* around DEO projects, disposals and potentially other military sites.
This post suits a generalist who can build and maintain good relationships with a broad range of military, civil service and civilian stakeholders.
1. Project management training and experience.
2. ICSC(L)and the associated staff competancies.
3. Staff experience within a Fd Army fmn would be of benefit as would RD experience

In accordance with current restrictions on FTRS recruitment, this post is being initially as a 12 month contract. There is potential for contract extension pending Army Operating Model outcomes.
