Vacancy detail

Domestic Considerations: The incumbent will routinely be able to work from home.  Although there will be some requirement for occasional travel to Andover for meetings (2 or 3 times per year) the PACR team members are all working from home and communicate via Skype/Teams, so selection for this post will not be influenced by an individual's location but rather by identifying someone who is the best fit for the role.
Position Role:  A member of the Smarter of Ways of Working (SWoW) team of PACR acting as the technical assistant to SO2 SWOW for the development of new SWoW for unit Pers Admin policy and procedures.
Responsibilities:

1. Act as technical advisor, providing knowledge, experience, and advice on unit personnel administrative processes and new digital solutions.
2. Review and complete revisions to the Unit Administration Manual.
3. Provide support to the review and amend technical documentation on administrative policy and processes.
4.Support the other team members of the PACR work packets as required.
5. Project management support and coordination for the team (PACR Update/Sync matrix/Risk Register).
6. Any other duties as directed by the PACR Project Manager.

Whilst this post would best suit someone with experience of delivering pers admin at unit level, applicants from all backgrounds will be considered providing they can demonstrate evidence of implementing change and a passion for improving the Army’s pers admin procedures
A Project Management qualification and/or experience is desirable but not essential.  A sensible, pragmatic approach to managing multiple work strands and delivering results at pace is more important than a formal PM qualification.
FTRS Application through to boarding
The Pers Admin Capability Review team has been tasked to identify a 15% workforce reduction in Regular AGC(SPS) and GSPS pers admin staff employed in Army TLB.  Alongside the requirement to restructure SPS Branch to achieve the prescribed liability savings is the need to identify new, more efficient ways or working, by adopting new digital processes for example, to reduce the workload on the remaining staff.  The PACR Team WO2  has a crucial role in determining the future working practices of SPS Branch.  It  would suit an ex-Regular or Reserve warrant officer with practical experience of delivering pers admin at unit level who has the desire and initiative to implement change and the staff skills to support these qualities.  The post becomes available on 15 Jul  2022 but if applicants are not available at this date they should include in their application details of their availability date.
Please contact the Project Manager if you would like to any further detail about the post.
