Vacancy detail

Working to the Executive Officer (XO) SO3 Comd Gp Coord will be responsible for the planning and execution of internal and external visits as well as supporting the coordination of all HQ 1 (UK) Div battle rhythm involving the COS/DCOS. Independently, SO3 Comd Gp Coord will cohere the G1/G4 outputs on behalf of DCOS 1 (UK) Div.
• Plan and execute COS/DCOS visits out to Divisional formations and units, including coordination of input by Staff branches.
• Co-ordinate visits into the HQ by higher and peer formations; ensure Comd Gp situational awareness of subordinate formation/unit visitors.
• Liaise with Divisional staff, higher, peer and subordinate formations, and external agencies to ensure robust coordination of all activity involving Comd Gp personnel.
• Deputise for the XO and assist with co-ordinating: 1 (UK) Div Comd Gp, HQ meetings, conferences, briefings and R2 up to 4* level; to include GOC, DComd, COS and DCOS preparation for Comd Gps, boards and conferences.
• Coordinate and track G1/G4 branch activity on behalf of DCOS.
• Prepare briefing material in various formats (eg written brief, PPoint presentations etc), as directed by the XO.
• Manage the diaries for COS & DCOS, taking the lead from the GOC’s diary via the ADC.
• Arrange travel for COS, DCOS & XO when required.
• Coordinate any catering requirements for long meetings/boards/conferences.
• Any other duties and tasks directed by COS / DCOS and filtered through the XO.
Must either have been, or currently be, a OF-2.
 Previous Fmn experience would benefit due to constant exposure to V/VIP military and civilian personnel.
JCSC(L) would provide foundational training toward understanding high-level military activity.
Recent operational experience would be useful but not essential if a rigorous understanding of 1 (UK) Div operational commitments is held. This can be learnt on the job.
Knowledge of French would aid 1 (UK) Div relations with French counterparts. 1 (UK) Div is partnered with 1 (FR) Div as part of the CJEF.
