Vacancy detail

1.     Lead the LWC Historical Analysis (HA) cell and prioritise/coordinate HA outputs
2.    Analyse historical ops/trg (and unit battlefield study PXRs) to derive ‘Lessons Identified’ iot support Fd Army WARDEV priorities
3.    Incorporate key trends, observations and recommendations derived from HA and unit battlefield studies PXRs into LXC lessons output
4.    Influence Army policy for use of history – with emphasis on engagement with fmn HQs and units to advise the planning and conduct of Battlefield Studies
5.    Represent DLW as the Fd Army Battlefield Studies SME
6.    Lead liaison and collaboration with relevant (mil, allied and civ) research and analysis agencies, and academia
7.    BPT conduct other tasks as directed by AH Lessons

The applicant must be able to travel on a routine basis within UK and overseas for short (1 to 2 week) periods
