Domestic Considerations:
1. Up to 35 nights separated service per year are a requirement of this post.
2. Deployment to UK mainland will be required to support Squadron and Regimental training.

Employer Comments:
1. Evening and weekend working will be required in support of Army Reserve Training (typically one evening per week and one weekend per month)

Position Role
Squadron Quartermaster Sergeant (SQMS) responsible to the OC for the control and serviceability of all stores and equipment held on charge and to give G4 Log support and guidance.

Responsibilities
1. Principal assistant to Regt QM/Sqn QM/PSAO for all sub-unit logistic matters.
2. Responsible to Sqn QM /PSAO in preparing the sub-unit for external G4 & SHE inspections.
3. Implement the Unit Equipment Care Directive within the sub-unit.
4. Assist the Sqn QM in developing sub-unit G4 staff.
5. Issue and control of soldiers clothing, webbing and other unit issued items, personal weapons and equipment.
6. Ensure that the stores held by the unit are serviceable and available when required for training and operations.
7. Maintenance of buildings and all facilities within them, including Safety, Health, Environment and Fire.
8. Correct running of all unit held G4 Accounts including JAMES and MJDI.
