Vacancy detail

The SO2 WF Coordinator facilitates the sourcing and allocation of Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel (SQEP) in support of Combat Engineering capability and acquisition projects.

1. Desk Officer for the coordination of Work Force design, supply and retention in support of ME programmes. 

2. Liaise with SO1 Strategy to determine current WF needs and forecast future requirements.

3. Staff Annual Budget Cycle options, VeRR/ARRG board business cases, recruitment campaigns. 

4. Track resourcing drives, personnel selection and onboarding into AHQ, securing SQEP from ex-Reg and Reservists pools of candidates for project task lines. 

5. Identify SP training needs, professional development opportunities and FKSE accreditation potential iot retain and enrich SP on VeRR / ARRG / VTOD.

6. Inform and support Working Groups, Programme Boards. Provide input on WF resourcing status, trajectory and risk.

Project/Programme Management experience and/or qualifications.

An understanding of Defence Acquisition is beneficial

Recent experience of Armd Engr Sqn and/ or Armd Inf Bde

Experience in Cap & Acq Mgmt appointment

Experience of MoD, HoC or DE&S highly desirable.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of next generation Army capabilities.

Scope to attend field demonstrations, liaise with industry and gain FKSE accredition. 

Flexible, part-time and remote-working available as a stand-alone task or alongside other Reserve duties.

Start and end dates are flexible.

90 RSDs, with option to transition to an Additional Duties Contract (ADC).

ARRG/VERR/ADC Project tasks are not WF authorised positions.   They are a temporary liability created specifically for a task and of a short duration; up to 12 months @ up to 90 RSDs, and therefore boarding and selection for these jobs does not attract substantive promotion or granting of AHR or SUPA.   A JPAN can be rank ranged to facilitate selection in a lower rank than advertised.    However, the intent is to fill the positions in the advertised rank and in only exceptional circumstances will a lower rank be selected to run to board.
