Domestic Considerations: Primarily based from home and via HQ SASC, however, flexible working is required and will be dictated by the pace and the demands of workload. There will be evening, weekend and school holiday working due to the assurance of Army Reserve and Cadet RMQ/SAAI Courses.
 
Position Role: Army Reserve Training Advisory Team (ARTAT) Assurance Officer.

Responsibilities;
1. Provide assurance for AR SAAI and RMQ courses, Provide assurance for all Cadet SAAI, RMQ and DCCT Courses, Provide assurance for Distributed Training for Regular and AR Units conducting SA (E) (18), SA (K) (18) and SA (M) (18) Cadres, Update Cadet RMQ/SAAI Course Folders as directed by OC ARTAT. Conduct instruction on Cadet RMQ and DCCT Courses.
2. Provide assurance to Regular RMQ Range Qualifications. Provide support in the planning and conduct of AR live firing overseas exercises. 
3. Act as an inspector of training, advise, monitor and assure all Regular, AR and Cadet Range qualifications on behalf of Hd GM as Army Competent Authority & Inspectorate for all Infantry and Cadet Courses, Investigate training accidents with Infantry Weapons and pyrotechnics where an error of drill or procedure is suspected, in accordance with current investigation procedures as directed by HQ SASC. 
4. Provide support to the AROSC and AR Pistol Championships. Provide support in the planning and conduct of the BAROST deploying overseas and to act as the SQEP during the deployment. Carry out other duties as assigned by OC ARTAT.

This post must be filled by a Commissioned SASC Officer (OF3). All applicants must have served in the SASC in the last 3 years or are currently serving in the SASC and hold the appointment of Advisor in Weapons (AIW) and the SA (A) (90)/(18) Range Qualifications.  Previous experience of a Staff role within a Trg establishment.
LEOC, attend the SASC AIW assurance course, be fully conversant with the DSAT process.Previous Op experience desirable but not essential.
FTRS Application through to boarding

All Range Qualifications are awarded on behalf of Hd GM in his role as the ACA&I.  All Inf Weapon Systems (WS) and Cadet WS Range Qualifications are awarded by officers of the SASC. The SASC, as recognized subject matter experts for training with Inf WS and pyrotechnics, are on the establishment of all qualifying authorities. They are responsible for ensuring best practice and maintaining the necessary standards of instruction and evaluation.
