SO3 Brigade Staff Support Team

Unit Role:  51 Inf Bde – the JMC that leads, enables, sustains and promotes the British Army in Scotland.

Position Role:  OF2 in the Brigade Staff Support Team focus on training and delivery of UK Operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Support the coordination and delivery of UK Ops.
2. Support the development of all UK Ops CONPLANs and HQ Staff Work. Analyse and interpret the direction of senior
   leadership.
3. Conduct multi-agency liaison with cross-government resilience partners. Deliver creative solutions by applying innovative thought process.
4. Understand and disseminate UK Ops policy and doctrine.
5. UK Ops planner / watchkeeper as required.
6. Desk level liaison with RC UK Ops and HQ SJC.
7. Support BSST resource and training.
8. Support G1-G9 branches when not in support of UK Ops and BPT deliver and support other projects as directed by the CofC.

JOTAC, CWC

IT Literate as MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint used routinely and able to use Army MIS.

Defence Contribution to Resilience and Security Course Level 3 (To be completed in role).

Operational experience - UK Ops/CS/CSS helpful but not essential.

Wide experience of tri-service G3 Ops/UK Ops staff work and procedures.

Post will be boarded on 51X Regional Appointment Board (RAB) after the closing date.

Domestic Considerations: 

1. Reside or work within the JMC AOR, preferably within commuting distance. 
2. Potential emergency callout liability on VTOD (up to 20 days max) locally/regionally.
3. Potential Intelligent Mobilisation Liability.
