This is a superb opportunity to fill the position of WO2 J4 at MOD Corsham.

The post would be responsible for the oversight and assurance of J4 related accounts, stores and equipment allocated to the Unit, ensuring they are maintained, controlled and supervised to enable the Unit to carry out its role in accordance with current regulations. Additionally, the incumbent will assume the secondary role of JSU Sgt Maj.

Responsibilities

1. Advising the CO on all aspects of J4 Log.
2. Supervise and assure J4 Accounts in accordance with current policies.
3. Supervision and assurance of the Equipment Entitlement account.
4. Maintain/oversee the Unit Losses Register.
5. Liaise with Regional CoC and OPCOM G4/J4 branches regarding policy, direction and guidance.
6. Manage and maintain the unit Ammunition account to ensure that the Unit has sufficient Ammunition scales to fulfil its role, in accordance with current regulations.
7. Assist CO JSU Corsham in preparing for and responding to LSA&I assurance audits and recommendations; manage the Unit LSA&I Action Plan.
8. As a secondary responsibility, fulfil the duties of Sergeant Major JSU, including line management and leadership of the Military Training Wing (1 x SNCO and 1 x JNCO).

Stand in for the GSM in their absence, including briefing all duty personnel.

Must be an OR8 of Any profession with a Logistics specialisation. OR7 applicants with a positive recommendation in their most recent annual SJAR may be considered for the role.  

OR9 applicants, if successful, will only be paid as and wear the rank of OR8.

RMQ 1-3 (Highly Desirable)

Must be serving as a member of the Army Regular or Reserves. OR7s interested in applying should have a minimum of 3 SJARs with a Recommendation for promotion in the higher rank. Previous Regular service as an RQMS or SQMS is highly desirable.

Must have SC.

A FTRS(HC) WO2 with significant logistic experience. In addition, previous time as a Sgt Maj would be beneficial.
